event design and overlay

when an existing stadium or campus is used for a unique specialty event, the needs of that venue change according to the new program demanded by the league or occupant. architects and event designers are brought in to lead the design of how this event will function operationally. this is event design and overlay. my role in event design and overlay is to provide a comprehensive temporary signage and wayfinding master plan to assist staff, competitors and spectators to navigate the venue for the specific event, both front of house and back of house. i’ve worked directly with leaders in league creative departments, operations and facilities management, event directors and team representatives across all major sports.
